My husband P., is a truck driver and by law your blood pressure should be 139/80 so you can maintain a license. He went to the Dr. and he prescribed lisinopril. After a week or so it took down his blood pressure, but was experiencing heavy chest and coughing. It was miserable to watch... He went back another time and told him that he had huge hand size boil like things all over his legs and chest. Mind you he only took half the dosage. Then on July 26th he had severe chest pains and went to the minor emergency room. He was sweating so hard that it soaked his shirts immediately. They put him in an ambulance and sent him to the emergency room, They ran test after test, and couldn't understand why the couldn't bring down his blood pressure. It was horrifying to say the least. They let him leave around 430 pm. Paul had tried many times to tell them (the doctor) and he said it was a normal side effect... at the cost of two weeks out of work 2,500.00 lost and then a 13,000.00 hospital and testing bill they say well sorry.... We then went to a natural path and she put him on all natural pills and his blood pressure is near normal and no side effects. we looked up lisinopril and one of the side effects is chest pains. Why would a doctor do that...???? when confronted, they said " oh it can't be the drug." what ever. We are facing financial ruin over the whole thing.
