This is interesting because I was trying to find out about side effects of menthol cough drops also. I have been using a lot of them (Halls Plus Menthol Eucalyptus) and I have some bleeding in my small intestine. I was wondering if it could be caused by the cough drops. I really don't want to admit to my doctor that I eat about 20 cough drops a day, but maybe that is what is causing the problem.

I eat about 20 -30 of the Halls Extra Stength and have severe constipation. Is this a possible cause???
