I have been on Cymbalta for close to 2 years for the last several months I have been forgetting more and more.. more frequently! My doctor increased my dosage from 90mg to 120mg. Now, I have had a nervous breakdown/anxiety attack was admitted to the hospital's outpatient treatment program and have lowered it back to 60mg.
It is very hard to ween off of. the hospital doctor has prescribed lamictal and trazadone and my gastroenternogist has put me on amitryptiline. gee i feel like a pharmacist now. this sucks! all for clinical depression and fibromyalgia and ibs, does anyone else have memory problems while on cymbalta??? email me ******to talk.

Hello Beachgirlljp! I also have memory problems since being on Cymbalta. I have been using Cymbalta for 4 1/2 months and the memory issues started almost immediately. I have just been increased to 90 mg and I hope that the memory issues do not get worse. Overall, I really like this medicine. I am taking it for Fibromyalia/ autoimmune and most of my aches and pains are gone! The pains that are left or have occurred since taking Cymbalta are mild and do prevent me from living life the way a 38 year old should. My mood swings and headaches are also much better.
Oops! I meant that the pains that are left... DON'T prevent me from living life the way a 38 year old should. Sorry for the typo!
I have been on Cymbalta for about a year and a half for Fibromyalgia and
have not had any problems that I know of. Not sure how much pain it is
helping as I still have alot but my mood is much better. I don't get nervous or anxious and upset as I did before. I do have to take other pain relievers
as I have osteo-arthritis and alos take meds. for Asthma. I think those give me more side effects than the Cymbalta. Wish there was a generic as it is expensive but then what isn't?
