You will eventually get over that feeling. I had the same exact thing and it went away with time. I'm just surprised that at the ER they said that your problems were from the levaquin. I haven't been able to find anyone to ADMIT that my problems were from this evil drug. So, at least you've cleared one hurdle. Good luck to you and remember to never ever take Levaquin or another fluoroquinolone again.
Hi Bill,
I had the same thing, but since I was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis, I thought the symptoms were from that and never called the doctor. It was smart of you to call the doctor. But the paranoia, intense and I do mean INTENSE fear, insomnia, choking feeling, etc. I went through that too. I still have some things hanging around like numbness on my left cheek and some fear, and it's 4 months later. (I started taking Xanax the same day and think that it contributed to my side effects, I've been off of the xanax since August. Not a picnic.)
Take care, I hope you feel better soon.
