i am taking amoxicillin for a sinus infection. the first night after taking amoxicillin, i had trouble sleeping, but when i did sleep, i woke up with night terrors/nightmares. i have been extremely moody and short tempered, which is unlike me. there is a constant mild headache and a bit of depression. i am on day 6 of 14 and very tired.

May be because of confusions you are moody. Confusion is one of the side effect of amoxicillin. You can have a look at the side effects at http://www.internationaldrugmart.com/amoxil.html
