I had the Mirena put in about 4 years ago , and luckily enough I haven't had that many problems . I started early menopause at 41 and it was recommended that i use the Mirena coil cause it replaces some hormones that I lose during the menopause . Also my periods has stopped and haven't had one for nearly 4 years . The one thing I'm a little concerned about is that i've got a strong feeling that i'm getting my periods but nothing happening. Would there be any chance i could be pregnant , even though my friend who's a nurse says it's unlikely but the worry is there . I'm afraid to do a test in case it comes out positive !!! , I'm now nearly 46 ... any similar experience would be greatly appreciated .
