I haven't read this side effect in anyone's posts yet... my spouse and I have had to deal with painful, chafed skin on our genitals after intercourse. Poor guy, he has weird abrasions, redness, and swelling behind the head of his penis while I have external burning and itching. I actually feel like the pH of my vaginal canal has altered and is eating him alive!! I also have had to cope with extreme moodiness and hair loss the past five months since I had it inserted. Needless to say, I'm glad I looked up these side effects to prove I'm not crazy and that neither of us have an STD. I'm making an appointment tomorrow to remove this horrible thing.

I actually had this also and come to find out, even though I had no major signs of it, I had a massive deep internal yeast infection and interuterine infection. No kidding.

my boyfriend and I had the same problem. It looked like both of us had little red bumps on our genitals. You aren't the only one.
