I have been taking Avelox for 6 days after being diagnosed with pneumonia. I have been feeling weak, fatigue and out of breath, also having occasional stomach pains and feeling drowsiness. Then on the 5th day of the medication, I've noticed red bumps were breaking out on my fingers, starting from my right thumbs, they are painful to touch. I have one more pill left and decide not to take it anymore. I should have researched more on this before taking.
I started taking Avelox 6 days ago because I am having surgery in a few days and they thought I might be coming down with a severe cold or something worse. About 3 days ago I started to get sharp pains on my right shoulder, shoulder blade and arm. I was having difficulty breathing today...like I was winded from running a few miles and my chest felt very heavy. I also felt nervous and somewhat agitated. I will not continue with this medication. I also wish I would have researched more about this medication prior to taking it! Judith - November 19, 2008
