I know what you are going through I got Mirena in April of 08. I have had nothing but problems with it since. My hair is falling out and i now have acne,bloating,gas,headaches,trouble seeing or focusing at times,rash(Atomic Demitis),no sex drive,brain fog,depression,I have gained 15 pound,dry mouth,aching in my joints and muscles,and a lot more. I tried to get it removed and they couldn't find the strings so they are saying now i need to have surgery to get it out. So i called my doctor and asked when can i plan for this surgery? She wants to talk about it first, she isn't convinced it is the Mirena causing all these problems. I am miserable and depressed and always irritable and taking it out on my husband and kids. I want it out now and can't seem to get anyone to help me. My advice is to get it out as soon as possible if you can. I will pray for you,and i hope you will pray for me.

I just had my mirena out an hour ago after reading alot posts on here and other sites. I got mine in feb of 08. had the acne the weight gain to the point my mom thought i was pregnant. I have also had terriable mood swings and just felt all around miserable, mean to my kids and have just done some crazy things that are really unlike me. im a pretty mild mannered person. I honestly thought i was just losing my mind. Last week i got the tingling in my hands and feet and was dizzy. i thought maybe i had an ear infection. this morning i couldnt even get out of bed. Anyway called my dr and begged her to take it out even though she says my symtoms arent from the mirena. its been gone and hour and i have no more tingling. im a lil crampy but other than that right now i feel good. hope this helps.
