If I want to take ortho lo at 7am..How do I begin taking the pill? Do I have to get my period and wait till 7 am the next day or what?
Ortho tri cyclen lo doesn't have a generic form... You can easliy go to a planned parenthood health care clinic and get it reasonabley. I an getting ready to go back on it and it works great. You might have to pay between 25 to 45 dollars for it depending on what state you live in. I do know that some health insurance providers don't cover it. But who knows.....Depending on what your doctor says about when to start. Its best to wait until your next regular cycle then begin either on the first day of your cycle or wait until the Saturday or sunday after your cycle to begin it....( you will have to go by the instructions given for the pill). Yes your boobs might get a lil bigger I know mine did, but it can be different in all women. As for weight it could go either way. You can gain or loose just depends on your body type.
I asked my doctor about the difference between generic and the brand name products/pills. She said that the generic version is 80% the same formula as the brand name. However, the remaining 20% of the formula could really be anything and that 20% of the formula can fluctuate from pack to pack...it doesn't always have to be the same ingredients of amount of ingredients.
With that said, it sounds like you don't get consistency with the generics.
Hope that helps.
hello im on orth tri cyclin lo and my boobs def got bigger. but it depends on what you eat because when i eat healthy i lose my boobs but if you eat alot of starch's its common for ur boobs to get bigger and i never gained any weight with this medicine. but i been on it for almost ten months and just lately i been get really weird cramping and sharp pains an vaginal burning and i had ultra sounds and pap smears pelvic exams and urine tests and it all came back normal so idk what it could be from
i've just been on ortho tri cyclen lo for 2 months and have had super uncomfortable vaginal burning. the same thing happened when i had the mirena iud. my dr was out of town so i went to a clinic and they put me on yeast meds, antibiotics cuz they thought i had abcterial vaginosis (nothing came up in the paps or pelvic exams) but when my dr returned she said it was the progestrin in the iud. as soon as i got the iud out the symptoms subsided. did you ever relate your symptoms back to the pill? did you go off?
