I recently increased my dosage from 25 mg to 50 mg and noticed my hair has been falling out. I just feel tired all the time. I thought I was going crazy until I read this site! I will talk to my doctor very soon. I did not think there would be problems with a "low" dose.

wow, thought I was the only one feeling same way and seeing the same thing! If I could sleep all the time I would.... and I thought my hair was falling out because of my thyroids and my crappy conditioner. My doc had me start on 50 and the bump up to 100mgs..... I take it at night and it seems to help! Also notice taking it with Vit C helps... My Doc appt isnt till the 22nd of Dec... I'm just trying to servive till then

Don't feel alone. When I read this site, I felt like I was reading my life history. I have always taken 50mg and felt like I was Rip Van Winkle, I was so tired. I also began to forget things, become easily confused and cried at the least thing. One doctor thought it was related to menopause, but I said I knew it was different. Finally, my familiy doctor had me do few tests in his office and he agreed that it was the Topamax. We cut back to 25mg for 10 days, then 25 every other day for 10 and now no more crying, no hair loss, no more confusion. Memory loss is getting better, but it may have some time before it is back to what i consider normal. I alsohad trouble sleeping and am on Ambien to help with that. Hope you can get off this. It really helps and there are other migraine meds.
