Im 17 years old and started getting sick a lot after getting my period at the age of 13. after numerous tests, and 2 years later i was diagnosed with both hashimotoes and graves disease. the doctors put me on synthroid and for a week i felt great. then after that i no longer wanted to take it. i didn't like the way it made me feel. i've been on the medication now for 2 years and my hair is so thin. it keeps falling out, and its very noticeable. i get a lot of headaches and severe cramps. i'm almost always tired. i get my levels checked every two months like the doctor wants. they are regular. anyone else feel the same? my mom is considering switching doctors.

Don't give up...your body needs time to adjust to the synthroid. I went to a higher dose and lost alot of hair. I started taking biotin along with my hair, skin, and nail vitimins, and now have my thick beautiful hair back. It took a good six months for my body to adjust. Make sure you take your dose at same time every day, don't miss a day.

Don't give up...my synthroid was raised higher, and I lost alot of hair. I started taking hair, skin, and nail vitimins, along with biotin..5000mcg, one a day.Take synthroid at same time every day, at least a hour before eating breakfast, don't ever miss a day, it will mess up your system. I can only take synthroid, not generic, there is a big difference! It takes a good six months for your body to adjust to synthroid. My hair grew back, now it's thick and long.
