Levaquin is NOT to be taken with steroids. That is documented. I am proof of the damage that can cause. Why are doctors still prescribing these medications together? Will the ignorance and carnage never end?
I also took Levaquin, but in combo with doxycycline, which is just as bad as levaquin...I just want you to know, I too had some vivid dreams on it, major bloating, gas, diarrhea, numbing in my fingers, one hand hot, the other ice cold, major back pains for a few days, to the point of barely being able to move. These side effects should hopefully go away within a week or two of being off the medication...it just takes time. I was off the two drugs for a week, then put back on a 2 week cycle of doxycycline, and believe me...never again....check out the blog for doxy side effects, these are both (in my oppinion) poison. I equate that Levaquin to a round of chemo...its some VERY strong stuff, from what Ive read, the fda has some type of black warning on it, which is the highest warning there is.
I had the same experience as you after my first pill of levaquin. If you reacted like this after one pill, imagine how terrible you will be after taking a full course. I wish I had discontinued the meds after that first pill. Maybe if I had, I wouldn't have been suffering so much for a whole year. Please get on a different medicine right away and never take levaquin or any other fluoroquinolone antibiotic ever again. good luck!
I too wish I had stopped immediately. This is my 24th month of Hell. It does NOT go away in a couple of weeks and taking it with lots of water is a joke. It is poison, plain and simple.
I wish my husband had known how this would effect him too. He was perscribed 750mg for 7days and couldn't sleep and was anxious, forgetful and worst of all he was super paranoid. He thought he was being followed by the FBI and other strange things, and unfortanley had to give a presentation at work and his co-workers and boss thought he was acting so strange that they ended up calling me. He could have lost his job had I not started researching this drug on-line. This is a dangerous drug and can be harmful to oneself and others.
