You may want to check out the side effects of HCTZ. I think heartburn is
on the list. I originally took lisinopril but the dr added the HCTZ. I took about
3 pills and had heartburn so bad I thought I was having a heart attack.
He put me back on the regular lisinopril and the heartburn got better but
not completely free of it.
my alllrgy doc and ent say i have signs of acid reflux, i tell them i do not experience any of this at any time, they keep saying " r u sure" i just dont have any acid reflux that i know of, i do drink red wine almost every day, i know that is supposed to give acid reflux also but i do no experience this problem, i dont drink the cheap wine, my husband and i have a glass or 2 every day, i have a sinus thing going on now and have not had any wine for 3 weeks as i am on meds, the lisinopril i take is 5 mg but i do not take it with food, mabe i shld, i am 70 yrs old, 144 lbs and not a diabetic and on the go every day i do also take synthroid and aspirin 81 and atenolol
I have just started to add atacand 16 mg to lisinopril. 40s..it makes me so dizzy that I am like a 99 yr old..so, the MD suggested taking one in the am and one in the evening...last night I tried the atacand before bed...the roof fell in...I could not breathe very well...my hands and feet were on fire and I had a pounding heart all night...thought I should have gone to an ER...but toughed it out....it is so frustrating....I cant tolerate atenolol...or the HCTZ in lisinopril...the BP thing has for many years been an awful conundrum for me..I would love to read more about anyone elses experience...thanks john...I am 64 slim a long distance walker and watch the diet too??????
