In addition to the rather common occurrence of the sweats, I have gained 30+ pounds since commencing a Lupron intermittent protocol. The majority of the weight gain has manifested itself in my stomach. My appetite has not increased or if so, not significantly. I exercise regularly and in most cases, aggressive exercises. I have carefully monitored my diet and have been unable to shed any weight or stomach mass.

I had my second lupron on Monday the 22nd, my frist one was on the 11th of last month, since then I have gained 11lbs and that was with a low dose. Yesturday the Dr. gave me the 3-in-1 a higher dose. I don't know what to expect this time (33lbs of weight gain). :( My next shot is not until March. I can't afford to gain any more weight. My Dr. won't do a hysto he feels I should have option at my age (39). I don't want option, I want it OUT!!!!

I gained 70 lbs. in less than a year after completing the 6-month Lupron treatment for endometriosis. I had no symtoms (pain) from the condition so did not want to take it. My gynecologist bullied me into doing so. In addition to the rapid weight gain, I've had these symptoms:
relentless hot flashes (did not have these before)
increase breast size
boils on my face (8-10 at a time)
facial hair growth

You and I seemed to have the same response to Lupron - I gained between 15-20 lbs moslty in my belly area and I had very few hot flashes, but much night sweats and still do but for a different reason. I have a migraine disorder but I rarely got a headache during that six-month stretch.

Actually, all the awful things everybody else is complaining about with Lupron are the awful things I go through with the regular "pill". Ugh.

Different strokes for different folks.
