I had Mirena put in May of 2008! Two weeks later I started losing my hair! I chalked it up to coloring my hair for so many years but after seeing my hairdresser and have her ask me how long I'd been losing my hair because my hair felt so thin to her! She put me on Nioxin hair shampoo she told me it would stop the hair loss. Eight weeks went buy and nothing stopped! I tried to think of what was different in the last 7 months and it came to me, Mirena!! I called my ob and they had never heard of such a thing and I told them it was a side effect! She wanted me to go see a dermatologist to rule out other things but I know myself better, it's Mirena! Thanks for all your info because i now know that I'm doing the right thing,I'm having it removed on1/5/09. I can't wait to see if knee pain and blurry vision go away also! I'm a runner so I always thought it was overusage as for the vision I thought it was just being 44! I'm not looking forward to the pill again!!!! Hope this helps!
