she hasnt been on it very long, I would think it will leave the body soon.. However I was on it for two weeks and my doc said it would be another two weeks before it was out of my system. I can tell its leaving now because my sinuses are back in full swing, which I have to say is a welcome thing because now I know the LEV is leaving my body.
You need to do further research. Keep looking online, there are many resources. It is not simply a matter of the drug leaving your system as your doctor (or the previous reply) told you. The effects of this drug can take a very long time to subside.
I agree with the previous poster, antilevaquin. Some really good websites are www.fqresearch.org and www.fluoroquinolones.org. There are also some support groups on yahoo health boards. Good luck to you.
my brother has been experiencing the same thing..he took seven of his ten pills and on the seventh day he completly lost it.. he was so bad we took him in to the er and they said it could be a reaction to the levaquin and not to take it any longer.. its been six days since and he is no longer as hyper but is very childlike and confused.. he doesn't seem to make very many decisions for himself.. he agrees to everything you say.. last night he woke up at one thirty in the morning got dressed and tried to take our dog for a walk with out a leash in the rain.. we stopped him from doing that... but on sunday we woke up and he had taken the dog out for a walk with no leash in the rain with no shoes just socks and no jacket.. My dad and I were driving around till we found him.. then we had to go find the dog.. anyway its been six days and we just took him back to the doctor.. they prescribed this after he had appendicitis.. and now they are saying all his tests are coming up negative and told us to go see a phsyciatrist. they are claiming its trauma due to the appendix being removed.. but he was fine for the five days he was in the hospital for it and the six days out of the hospital.. i don't know if this helps.. but just know you're not alone..
