My doctor has told me the same thing. The "generics" in thyroid medication don't work near as well as the Synthroid. I have taken both though. As a matter of fact, I am just getting back on it and am taking the Levothyroxine. My levels are so high that I am taking .150 mcg's. I would love to be back on the Synthroid, but I can't afford it right now.
I started out five years ago taking Synthroid and had NO problem with hair loss. I switched to the generic (Levoxyl) two years ago, and my hair loss is now a BIG problem. Assuming what you say has helped, I guess I should revert back to synthroid.
