I seriously doubt that they are real (unless they are illegal). I talked to my dr last week and they dont even become generic until march.
In Canada you can get generic topamax (topirimate), but to take the drug for just weight loss is a horrid idea. The side effects are not worth it for a few pounds. I have been on topiramate for a few years in combination with Effexor XR for bi-polar, and put up with the side effects because it is the best combination with the least evil of side effects of the many many other mood stabilizing drugs I have tried. But I have traded off with being unable to regulate my body temperature, I am always freezing or am getting heat stroke in summer. Memory and concentration problems, dizziness, wanting to scratch my face off, nausea, insomnia, risk of seizures and death, tingling, you name it I have pretty much been nailed with it. So really, ask yourself, unless you really medically need it and nothing else has worked for you, is this drug worth the risks? Do you really like getting arterial blood being taken to monitor you blood acid levels? The risk that if you miss a dose that it can induce seizures??? Try another weight loss way.
