I took Lisinopril from 5 years and all through the 5 years I had symptoms but not until my fifth year did it make me deathly ill. The doctor tried to tell me that the side effects wouldn't take that long to maniifest.
The side effects of this drug sneaks up on you and hits you like a ton of bricks. I think maybe the poisons are stored in the fat cells or something until they can't accommodate them any more.
I started on Lisinopril last week, I woke up this morning with my tongue so swollen it filled my mouth, and in an hour my throat was hurting, felt it was closing. I couldnt swallow very well, and went to the ER. I am home now and decided to search and see if I could find anything about if other people had this problem. My tongue has gone down some and I was able to eat. scared me.....will call my doctor tomorrow and let him know what happened.
