My husband is 50 and has been on Lisinopril for about 2 years after experiencing a stroke going down the freeway! He has had a few of these symptoms, but most of all we were wondering if anybody has stopped taking it cold turkey? And if so, what side effects did you have. We had a mix up at the pharmacy and he went without it for about 2 weeks and he has had insomnia, nausea, light headedness, he's shaky, palps, etc. All symptoms seem to be intensified. We were thinking tonight that maybe these symptoms were occurring because he missed 2 weeks of doses with no tapering of the medicine. What do you all think? Any input would be appreciated. We're at a loss. We haven't called the doctor yet. Like I said.....it just occurred to us. Thank you, N.
