Wow, you are really lucky then. I thought it was very painful....and I gave birth to a 9 1/2 lb baby....but this was different! No sounding required with a pap smear, like it is with the Mirena. That was the most painful part to me. I hope that you are one of the lucky ones and do well with the Mirena.

Make sure you are very familiar with all these posts of the horrible possible side affects so that you can be aware of them in case it happens to you. So many of us were having them and it never dawned on us that they were related to a the Mirena. I hope this works for you but if you end up with any of these symptoms, at least you will know what it is!
