Yes, Zocor did this to you, and thousands of other people. I am sorry to hear about what you are having to go through. You should slowly improve over the course of time.
For myself, I have come to my own personal consclusions that sales and marketing hype got way ahead of medical science, and this whole cholesterol thing is just a scam. If there were no profit in it, I doubt they would be pushing us to take these drugs to lower our cholesterol.
Besides, LDL cholesterol is vital to the human nervouse system and muscles. They never tell us that, but its true.
I hope you get better soon, statin poisoning is no fun.
Bobby
This is similar to what Lipitor did to me. I've since developed Parkinson's and am on a regiment of pills every day for that. The body needs the LDL and HDL to balance out the cholesterol. The LDL as Bobby says helps with the nervous system. The lower the levels of LDL and Parkinson's like symptoms and other neurlogical symptoms occurr.

and google Parkinson's and low LDL for more information.
When I mentioned this to my doctor way back in 2005, he disregarded it and told me it wasn't so. Now there are studies that have proven it.
The drug manufacturers are looking for more markets to sell their drugs to because they've run out of candidates in their initial small market. They did this by forcing the medical industry to lower the standard level of cholesterol to make their market bigger. What used to be considered low, or low-borderline, is considered high. As a result they are giving the medication to people that really don't need it and are causing other problems such as Parkinsons-like illnesses. The problem is once this damage occurrs, the problem never goes away, and the treatment is then anti-parkinsonism medication such as Sinemet, Amantadine, Resigline, Mirapex, and others.
Be very careful of the Mirapex. This has been linked to odd psychological side-effects that include compulsive activities such as hyper-sexuality, compulsive buying sprees, compulsive gambling, and other weird activities.

Since I developed Partkinsonism, I've done a lot of research into every drug that has been given to me since. I learned my lesson with the Lipitor and I plan never to let that happen to me again or anyone else if I can.
