I was prescribed smz tmp for a minor kidney infection. I took the drug for 5 days and stopped because my side (the skin) began to itch and it felt like a severe burning on my skin - like sunburn. It has been 6 days since I last took the medication. I know that it can take a couple of weeks for it to get out of my system, but is there anything I can take to alleviate these side effects?
