I had it removed today. The removal is much LESS painful than the insertion. I was hesitant to get it removed because I didn't want that pain again. Thank god I finally came to my senses. It is the only one you have! The convenience of the mirena does not surpass the problems that it comes with. Looking forward to having my libido back, the odor, headaches, bloating, weight, joint/muscle pain, and overall generally crappy feeling gone. I had it put in to reduce my hemorrhaging periods.
