I had the mirena put in at the end of June 2008. For the first few months it was very uncomfortable. Cramping spontaniously and intensely. But now all that has subsided. I rarely get cramps anymore and I still do get my period but very light. I love this. I would defiantely wait it out at least a few more months. I also DO NOT experience the depression symptoms or irritablity. Honestly I forget I even have it.
Hi... I have Endometriosis as well, and my doctor put me on Zovia 1/35. It has been amazing, and my endo symptoms where gone in just 2 weeks, like all the weird weird pain during the whole month plus my horrible acne (i'm 28). i've now been on it for almost 5 months and I love it! But also my doctor told me, that if you have endometriosis, it is better to not have a period, or to only have it once or twice a year. I took her advice and never took the placebo pills in my pack, and i feel it has changed my life. I feel like myself (most days) and the higher estrogen level is good for your sex drive! yippi. Also its better to have a higher-dose bc pill if you have endometriosis, and if you don't have a period (which is awesome) it keeps your body and hormones in a calm state. WHen you have a period, is when all the bad ugly endometriosis stuff goes on in your body. anyway, i'd HIGHLY recomend the Zovia 1/35. I did gain 5lbs, but I can't tell if that was from stress eating from school, christmas time, or a death in the family in the last 3 months or if it was the pill. but i've already lost 3 of those pounds. Good Luck!
