I am thirteen and a female. I had throat inflammation, swelling of my sinuses, and an ear infection. The doctor gave me a cortozone shot and recommended a z-pack. About 2 hours after i took the first dose i got severe stomach cramps, nausea, dizziness and loss of hearing. I keep having to run to the bathroom because i feel like im going to puke. I keep sweating too and i feel hot and sticky. I hope the side effects wear off soon but after reading these comments i don't think i'll be that lucky. I don't plan on taking this again. The side effects are worse than actually being sick.

Hey after my procedure myself in middle of january i had ear infection that needs to be treated so it is a normal reaction

Complications of greater occipital nerve blocks are very rare and almost never serious. Bleeding, infection, pain, and allergic or other adverse reaction to the anesthetic or steroid are possible. A few patients briefly feel faint. Sometimes a small area of the scalp at the site of the injection will thin out and lose hair. The needle stays outside the skull, so there is no chance of a spinal fluid leak, meningitis, or brain or spinal cord injury. The nerve does not connect to any muscles, so weakness or change in facial expression will not occur.
