don't do it. whatever his problems are, try diet or something. he's too young to start on a dangerous medication
Many of those side effects have been added gradually, over the years. Even many doctors who prescribe Singulair can't keep up with the ever-growing list of negative effects. I hope you find another treatment for your child!
Those side effects you are speaking of have been added only recently and it is because so many have suffered .You can take the chance if you deem it worth the risk or you can take an alternate route now that you are fully informed,I never had that chance.Psychological side effects were added and never made it to my sons prescription leaflet.Until my child died and we went public, medical professionals knew anything about this drug. This site was filled with families that were suffering a nightmare of children suffering psychological side effects and not one doctor was listening.Well now they are and you have a great advantage, you know what to look for if you decide to dispense, period.Parents that posted on this site did not have that available ,I repeat, you can thank them for using their voices and getting the word out.Kate
Kate is absolutly right, the very fact you have an updated sheet,is because she went public,we joined her fight to save the other children,to stop the suffering,to inform all of this drug.We are the parents in the videos,we are the congresssional letter writers,we are so happy maybe the little people are being heard and not the dollar signs, much, much more still noeeds to be done this fight is far from over. This is one drug in a society of thousands were all is not known. The system is broken and we are advocating to fix it,the safety of the public should be first and not the bottom line of the drug companies.Join our fight shout out or change ,save the life of a child
Please don't do it. Talk to your doctor; there has to be a better medicine out there. I am furious about this. I have a 2 and a half year old boy who has always been happy, energetic and caring. He has been on Singulair for 6 weeks now and it has been the worst 6 weeks ever! He has trouble falling asleep at night, he doesn't always take his afternoon naps anymore, he doesn't want to go to school, he says he's "bad," and he has now been labeled as "aggressive" and "challenging" at school. I can't believe that after reading all of these posts where parents are saying the same thing over and over, doctors are still prescribing this medicine without warning to the parents.
