My son's pediatrician prescribed Atuss DS to him, for cough and congestion. He acted like a whole different child!! He was moody,(Jackel and Hyde), and cried nonstop at night, wanted to sleep but couldn't rest well. He reminded me of someone on drugs, he was the worst child iv ever seen and he is a happy kid all the time, this is the worst medicine ive ever seen. BEWARE!!! I have cried with my son for the past 4 days waiting for it to get out of this system.
My 3 year old daughter took atuss ds for 2 days and I can't begin to tell you how it changed her. Dramatic behavior changes after 2 days, not just hyperactive but strange, weird things she never would have done before. I stopped giving it to her but some of the behaviors haven't stopped. How long will it take for the medication to get out of her system. Help - I am scared!
