I am 17 years old and I chose the NuvaRing as my form of birth control about 6 weeks ago. First 4 weeks I experienced no problems at all, despite one or two migraines the first week I had put it in, even my week-off turned out to be great. Recently, I have noticed that I have become extremely emotional all the time. Normally, small things never bothered me but now I jump at any thing that bothers me. I've become extremely clingy and have no desire to go out with friends anymore and just have fun. I even have trouble sleeping because of the constant racing thoughts. I have experienced no other side effects from the NuvaRing and I am really hoping that after my third month is complete, my body will be more adjusted and the depression will subside. If not, in 6 more weeks from now, I am taking this thing out and tossing it for good!
