Dear Tina 2009, according to my Surgeon who has been giving me kenalog injections in my shoulders, he says to expect the kenalog to stay in my system 11 months, my parmacist says up to a year to get it completley out and then the damage to the nervous system still may not be reversible.
I understand it does help a lot of people, but doctors should be more aware of it's side effects. No way should 6 doctors (4 specialist) misdiagnose the symptoms of the side effects of this drug. This drug is bad news to the people it disagrees with.
Have a nice day :)
Tina,
thanks for the info. Last week I had the annual Kenalog shot (have now had 2 of them) -I had noside effects the first time that I can remember. This time I had headache, diarhea, water retention and slightly elevated blood pressure. I hope the side effects wear off soon. But what is good is that I have no more pain in my hip---which had really gotten bad. Now I'm moving so much faster it's hard to believe. I do think that patients should
be told about the side effects though.
