I have been taking synthroid or levothyroxine most of my life now and have not had any problems.

you are not going to die.I feel like that too. i think it the medication. i get like that where i do not want to get out bed. i feel like that something is wrong with me too. I have been on medication for about 15 years. The more time you on this medication thing start to change. Some times i feel i can not breath just walk to my car.

I am also taking levothyroxine and have been for 7 months!!! I am in a living hell. I also feel like I am going to die from this I feel like I cant breath and that starts a panic attack! I am drifting farther away from my husban and my beautiful girls!!! My head is always foged and I feel like there is no end to this!!!

My understanding is that the medication does not have any side affects, its a synthetic hormone that your body naturally produces. The only way it can have side effects is if your over medicated. The thyroid disease can cause all of different problems. One of them is depression. That can make you have the thoughts of feeling like somethings wrong and like your going to die. The thyroid can also cause anxiety attacks. I hope this helps . Maybe your doctor needs to adjust your dosage.
