Today (2/3/09) my body decided to relapse. I took Yaz from 1/08 to 8/08 and switched to Ocella (generic) in 08/08 - 11/08. I started having pain along my left side when I breathed. I took Augmentin for one week and did not feel any better. I went back to my physician, who then put me on a week of Avelox because my chest x-ray should pneumonia in the left lung. One week later, I still didn't feel any better. I decided to go to the emergency room and the hospitalist order a CT Scan that discovered pneumonia and a blood clot in the left lung. I was hospitalized for a week and placed on light duty for two weeks. It is one month later and it has decided to rear its ugly ahead. I am only 30 years of age, and I pray I did not ruin my chances to have children because I just completed my first year of marriage.

Hi, i read your posting and i so thought i was the only one until i found this site. I also had pain and etc. and went to the ER to find out i had multiple clots in both my lungs and blessed enough, i survived. Dr.'s couldn't believe it be it how many i had or actually have as they take time to disolve....i was told though NO birth control pills ever again due to the Estrogen i guess? SO we have to use other methods. I would assume you are on a blood thinner now???? Yikes huh? Scary and thankful to be alive. I was told though that this will not effect getting pregnant etc. Though we may need to be on a shot for daily blood thinner while prego and considered high risk but no worries!!! I was happy to hear that as i intend on getting prego end of this year. Well, good luck and take care!
