there are almost no drugs that work for sinus infections so taking drugs exposes you to their risk for very little payoff. there aren't a lot of blood vessels to the sinuses so any drugs have to circulate through the entire body for small amounts to get to the sinuses. and if your sinus problem is viral or fungal, than antibiotics won't do anything anyway, except trash your system
have you tried sinus washes with a neti pot and a saline solution? a drop of a non-alcohol disinfectant mouth wash in the saline solution can also help
Thank you for your reply .... saline solution spray is my new best friend ....one in my purse , bedside and desk. I am not familiar with a neti pot but will investigate. I don't run to the Dr. easily but when I have resorted to an antibiotic I have had good results..... of course, if there is a way to avoid the infection to begin with I am all ears ! I have learned a valuable less with this ordeal...... I will never take another medication again without reading the entire information paper and seeing what others have to say about it . I literally feel reborn as this medication vacates my system , thought I was terminal with some terrible disease ....... live and learn .
