I have also found myself waking up to urinate, also not like me. I use Splenda and take Januvia. I am also experiencing chest congestion, and some light depression which I NEVER have had before. All these have started after about a week on Januvia, which I have been on for about 3 weeks now. I'm getting off it and going healthy like the other poster I read. These meds are litterally killing people! TKBear

After reading all these posts I actually feel very lucky. The only side effect I've experienced is a sore throat and a little congestion, which is why I was reading this-wanted to see if anyone else had the same. I use Splenda everyday but haven't noticed increased hunger but I take a mild appetite suppressant, and am hungry all the time anyway. I use Januvia to aid in insulin resistance but I think I'll stop today. I have a very good friend that is a firm believer and has convinced me that drugs, while unavoidable in some cases, cause more problems than they fix. She offers a functional blood analysis and knows what she's talking about (has several initals after name CFBA, CYT, CHC). The way to go is to find what causes the issues and fix the source, not treat the symptoms like most doctors do. There are some natural supplements you can take like glysen and protoglysen among others, that aid in regulating blood sugar. I think I'll explore those avenues for my health answers...
