I just started Omeprazole two weeks ago and am having headaches, extreme blurred vision, upset stomach, gas and constipation. I was depressed all day today which is also unusual for me. I will be asking my doctor to take me off this drug - unfortunately I do need something to treat the acid reflux so I will be researching nexium. Good luck to anyone who has to take this - oh and I too have had the nightmares and can't sleep.

I am a 48 year old male diagnosed with acid reflux. I took Prolisec OTC (Omeprazole) for several months with no side affects. Like you a developed headaches. They were left side and constant. I went to a Neurologist, dentist, chiropractor, Internest and Massage therapist. Nothing cured the headaches. As soon as I went off of Omeprazole (after reading an internet post associating it with headaches), they went away. I am now looking for an acceptable Prilosec replacement.
