I knew right off the bat that the NR was making me crazy, but I wanted to see if the side effect would go away. It did not. And things just kept getting worse. I was having some intense mood swings, angry about the most useless things. I would cry in a second. It got to be an issue. The worst part for me was on the days i would put it in I would get such a bad migraine that all i could do was lay in bed and cry. No pain relievers could help. Also, I run and train for half-marathons and in the last month i have been putting weight on, especially my stomach, even though I have been running up to 3 miles a day. I am done. today was the end. Thank you all for your useful posts. It solidified my decision.

Thank you for posting your story. I am a typically happy person, go to yoga, workout, have a happy relationship and career. I was on NuvaRing for about a year and was going through crazy mood swings, getting angry and feeling frustrustrated w/ anxiety. It was an emotial rollercoster. I have gone off the NuvaRing and today just got a diaphram along w/ spermicidal jelly. I hope this works, but I can't go back to the NuvaRing. The mood swings were unbearable. I took my ring out a month ago and am feeling more like me... Happy!
