Hi, its me, Mrs.B. again. Just wanting to say that today, exactly 3 weeks post Mirena, I was feeling really bad. I had been feeling GREAT but I was restless last night. Ended up sleeping 10 hours, woke up tired, bloated and with an itchy rash on the back of my knee and hand. stayed tired and weak all day and was really moody. I cant believe how bloated I feel. I feel just like I did when I had the Mirena in. I am hoping this is PMS and I am about to start my period and that this is not an effect of the Mirena "post partum". Also I really am concerned about all the women out there who ARE having all these horrible side effects, and are possibly having marital problems and life problems and have not yet made the connection to the Mirena! I know I didn't for a LONG time!

Hey there....
This Friday will be 5 weeks post mirena for me and I have been feeling totally back to normal. I DO know that about 2.5 weeks ago I ovulated. Two days ago I was PMSing, felt bloated had a mild headache a couple of times and was moody (not crying moody just a little bitchy), well today the floodgates opened!.... So you could quite possibly be having your first post Mirena period and your body is just adjusting......

Also, I know what you mean about people with side effects that haven't made the connection, I made mention to my gyn at my 4 week post removal check up to document everything I told her...and she looked at me weird and said "what do you mean"..to which I responded, "so if you have other women that mention these things to you it can alert you that it might be the Mirena and save them alot of visits to other doctors and pills they don't need!!!"

Anyway, hope you feel better soon, I'm sure it's just your hormones getting back into a state of NORMAL :)

OMG - this post from you hit me. My marriage has literally crumbled to the ground in the last 2 years I've had the Mirena. I've been devastated that I only just 2 days ago made the Mirena connection to my emotional imbalance (that's putting it lightly) and the toll it's taken on my marriage. Like another woman posted, I've completely disconnected myself from my husband & children - most days I want nothing to do with them. It has broken my heart to pieces that I hadn't been able to figure out what was wrong with me. There's more I could write on this but not here. I just can't believe Mirena is to blame for this...the fact that my husband & I are talking divorce very seriously. All I'm doing is praying...all I've done since I had Mirena. Can't wait to get this out of me!
