In December 2008, I was being treated for sinusitis and bronchitis with the antibiotic Avelox. I started taking it in a Thursday and by Saturday I was doubled over in stomach pain. I was also taking a steroid so I wasn't sure which drug was causing my pain so I called the Dr. office and they told me to lower the dose of the steroid. So I followed their instructions and the pain continued. I stopped taking both medications. Two weeks later I had swollen gums around some of my teeth, I thought to myself that I had left over Avelox so I decided to take one before I went to bed. I woke an hour later with anaphylactic shock and a pricey trip to the ER. Before I never had sensitive skin and now my skin has forever changed, thanks to the wonderful drug called, Avelox.
