I had a very bad time with bronchitis my doctor prescribed Levaquin 750mg. 2/19/09 I took one tablet around 6PM this evening it is now 3AM I am wide awake. Out of no where I was hullucinating, I thought I was at a house with my husband, my cat called my cell phone and was meowing that my baby had fallen out the bed and was crying. I am single I do not have children. My body and head felt like things are crawling on me. I knew something was happening to me I got out of bed and googled "What is Levaquin?" The only thing on the prescription bottle is to TAKE THIS MEDICATION WITH PLENTY OF WATER. My stomach feels nauseous I am going to drink as much water as I can to get this stuff out of my body as quick as possible. The pharmacy did not put the usual explanation of the drug and the side affects in the prescription bag. I'm so thankful that this is the first site that came up. I pray that I won't have any other problems later today. I will not take anymore of these pills, I just paid $224 for 7 pills. The other six pills are going to be flushed.

I'm so glad you figured this out before you took any more pills. I would just say you probably shouldn't flush the pills. Call the pharmacy and see if they can dispose of them safely. We don't need this toxic to end up in our drinking water. I hope you feel better soon!

You are fortunate that you only ingested one pill. I can identify with the hallucinations, I had quite a conversation with my dead father while on this stuff. Let's all hope you are one of the fortunate ones who caught it quickly enough to avoid the all too common outcome. I wish you well.

I can't believe the cost of poison these days, that is outrageous. Also, if you can't dispose of the poison properly, see if you can get a doctor of your choice to take them himself/herself.
