Your chest pains are a worrisome symptom. Have you been checked for blood clotting? There is a blood test called a dDimer that can test for blood clots anywhere in the body or your doctor can order scans to check. Blood clots are a known side effect of Yasmin and other birth control pills. They CAN be very serious. Blurred vision can also be a symptom of blood clots. I suggest that you Google DVT's and Pulmonary Emboli for a list of the symptoms. Please seek immediate medical care and INSIST on being tested. I post here to warn people because my daughter died of pulmonary emboli (blood clots in the lungs) in her third month on Yasmin.

Thank you for your concern and thoughtfulness. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Fortunately, I was only taking Yasmin for under 2 weeks. The chest pain and palpitations have subsided but I will get checked out. Thank you again.

I HAVE BEEN ON THE OCELLA FOR 2 1/2 WEEKS NOW AND I WAS PREVIOUSLY ON YAZ WITH NO REAL PROBLEMS BUT I HAVE BEEN HAVING HOT FLASHES AND COLD SWEATS AND I DON'T KNOW IF IT IS THE OCELLA. I'M ONLY 25 AND NOT GOING THROUGH MENOPAUSE !!! ANYONE HAVE HOT FLASHES ON OCELLA?
