I'm aged 36 and have been diagnosed with bronchitis with cough that has lasted for about a month now. My Doctor gave me 'professional samples' of Avelox that I've used for 3 days now. The very first day, within an hour I could hear my own heart pounding and my left arm started to get numb. I thought I may be having a heart attack. I had joint pain (knees, ankles, wrists) soon after. Though it went away after 5-6 hours, it was quite scary. I started to have diarrhea. The second day I had pain above my hips (kidney) and even though it went away, I was getting this little jolts like a quick 1-2 second electric shock inside that area. This really freaked me out and I thought this drug would kill me if I continued. I complained to my Doctor about these and she said they were expected. I took it for the last time, the third day when I developed extreme nausea and giddiness. The only good that came out of Avelox was it reduced my fever which was almost 103 before starting the dosage.
