HI- How long did your hives last? I took Levaquin first week of Jan 09. AFter 5 days I started getting major hives. The itching was indescribable. Anyway I started prednisone a week later. It got rid of the hives, until I tried to go off the prednisone. I have tried 4 times to get of the pred, but every time the hives come back. This is going on over 2 months now. How long were you on the pred and how long did your hives come back? Thank you- Jenn

The hives went mostly went away once I took the prednisone. They did not come back after going off the steriods. I do however, have faint scars where the hives were. I am the only one that can see them- but still a subtle reminder of what happened. I took the pred for 10 days I believe... Good luck!
