I will make an educated guess that your doctor will play the “statin musical chair game” with you. He will recommend that you take a different statin. If you do, your statin nightmare will start all over again. I would recommend that you don’t tell him that you stopped taking the poison.
Thank God I found this site. I am a 47 year male and have been taking Simvastatin 80mg for about 6 months. Immediately after taking my first dosage I began to have night sweats, frequent urination and extreme swelling of my knees, ankles and feet. After about a month the night sweats ceased but the frequent urination continued and then I began to have tingling pains in my feet, hands and arms. I also began to experience extreme vertigo and nightmares which have gotten progressively worse over the past few months. I am going to stop taking the drug tonight and contact my doctor.
