good luck, i feel your frustration and am having mine removed next week. There was a time about 6 months ago when I thought my head was going to explode. Literally everything made me mad. I am convinced it is the Mirena. My acne has not got any better and I am just done. I can't wait for my skin to clear up.

i had my 2nd Mirena in for 14 months and had it removed Valentines day.. 12 days ago. In the first 5 days my energy is back to normal.. if not above, my mood is euphoric compared to angry and sad all the time.. joint pains are gone. My sex drive was nil for the last 3 years (with 2 pregnancies and 2 mirenas) and I now am demanding it 2X a day! No more dryness.. exactly the opposite. Can throw out the lube..lol. Never needed it before Mirena and don't anymore. I fell out of love with my husband when we were married in 2005 and have been angry with him and unattracted to him since. The last few days, I just look at him and I get turned on. I can't believe we wasted thousands of dollars on marriage counselling, and all I needed was this stupid thing out! I'm so happy to be alive again!
There is a light at the end of the tunnel.. doctors only think they know everything.. because they are brain-washed by drug companies. Get the thing out and give it a few days.. some of us need a couple of weeks. Keep us posted as often as possible on how you're doing.. even everyday if you have time..lol. Best of luck!

Your posts are interesting, and important to share. I also have factor V Leiden, and had the Mirena in for 5 years, with no problems. I had it removed with no problems, or changes as well. But everyone is SO different. I have worked in health care for 11 years, and one thing I have learned is that 1.) You know your own body 2.) You have to be an advocate for your own care.
