This are my Mum's symptoms, aged 72: She was given Spiriva because of breathing problems whilst in hospital last September. It really helped her breathing but then she began having excruciating pains at the back of her legs and in her knees. She also put on weight really fast, around 10-14lbs and her stomach was very swollen and painful. After finding help on this site, she went back to the doctors and they took her off the Spiriva. She is still in pain with her knees and lower legs.
