Prednisone has been a life-saver for many years. I have SLE and along with all the heavy-hitting immune suppressant meds, I take tapered doses of prednisone 4-5 times per year when joint and muscular pain are so severe I'm bedridden. When I'm on prednisone I feel like I'm on vacation!!! The pain in my body is totally eliminated except for one area: I get horrible sinus headaches. It feels like my sinus cavities are on fire and there's pressure within my eyes and blurred vision. Once I finish my tapered dose the pain trades off - painful body and normal sinuses. Has anyone every heard of this?
