I am so glad I'm not the only one that has the crazy symptoms. I am being treated for an inflammation in my optic nerve. I woke up over a month ago now with double-vision. I was on 100mg a day for seven days then went down to 60mg. I feel like I'm high all the time though. I have to take my pills at 7 in the morning and they are still effecting me until about 2 or 3 in the afternoon. I can't drive or do anything that would take a lot of concentration cause I just feel out of it around my eyes. Also I have tingling in my face and arm. Not sure if this is a side effect or if its the possibility that I may have Multiple Sclerosis. (getting an M.R.I. done for further testing) Does anyone else have those tingling sensations? My vision has almost come back to normal now. The Prednisone has done wonders for that, but I really hate taking it.

Thank you for your post. It has helped with my research concerning Prednisone and optic neuritris and the correct dosage. Thanks.

Hi, I am 42 and was recently diagnoised with Transverse Myelitis and they thought (still a possibility I guess) I had MS also. My neurologist put me on prednisone at 80 mg to start and then went up to 100 mg and now 3 months later she is tappering me off and now I am on 10mg but the side effects are horrific and I agree with most on this website. I get the tingling feeling in my shoulders and neck - I have acne that is so so bad all over my face but it almost looks like a rash. I have this thing with my eyes cant even explain like when I wake up they are liked bugged out. Very wierd. My legs hurt all the time (is it MS or Prednisone) I have tremors in my hands. Cant sleep at night - you name it I got it. it is Horrible. - Kay
