Get it out -- your MD will try to talk you into keeping it, but having had the SAME PROBLEMS and almost got a spinal tap to rule out MS, trust me, have it removed and see if you get better. If you don't, you can always have it put back in. Go to curezone.com and search the Mirena Side Effects Forum, it's VERY SCARY; you'll see thousands of women with the same issues. Trust me, I work in the pharma industry and I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Mirena caused my neuro problems. I had it removed this past Friday and I feel 100% better!!
Good luck!
I had the Mirena put in 7 weeks after I had my baby. At first I was the same as you. I like having it. But as time went by I started having major issues. I gained weight, I had depression, no sex drive, my baby felt sick all the time, and I started to feel numbness in my feet. I went to the doctor 4 months after having it in and told him to take it out. Once he did everything went away. I loss weight, I feel good physically and mentally. And I can feel my feet again. Please reconsider having this.
