Ι had put mirena 10 days before because i have heavy periods. I am 38 old.


When i asked my doctor he said to me that has no side effects.

I read from the internet the opinions of many womens for all these side effects of the product and I am afraid now.


My weight gain 2 kilos 1 week and I have also pain cramps and acne.

Hello there, i had the Mirena inserted early November last year, during the four months i had the mirena in i also spotted after sex although i didnt have a period until the week before i had it removed, it was bright red, which wasnt normal for me... sex was also painful, which it wasnt before.....

Now that you mention it, I bled after intercourse with my husband recently also. I also had cramping and pain. The bright red you're talking about I noticed this past summer.

That is actually what brought me to this site. I had mirena put in 7 months ago. More times than not I bleed after sex. Also my period started 3 weeks ago and has not let up except for the last week its been lighter or itll stop for a day then return. Does anyone know if this is dangerous? also i recently had to go and have it checked by my doctor because I could not feel my strings. Turns out they were "sucked up into" my cirvix. I was afraid to ask but does anyone know how it is removed when that happens?
